Address: Shop A, G/F, 27 Swatow Street, Wan Chai
Swatow street has recently opened up many new cafes and brunch places, amongst them is DTC (dumpling tea coffee). DTC, as a takeaway has simple yet interesting decoration, featuring a portrait of a Chinese Emperor on the wall. The staff were very friendly and immediately explained the menu choices, which included fusion style dumplings like truffle and beef, bacon and cheese, etc. I decided to try out their bacon and cheese and the beef and truffle dumplings.
The dumplings were well-filled and tasty; both dumplings had a strong flavour of bacon and cheese, and truffle and beef. The prices of the dumplings and rolls were also fair, ranging from HKD$20-40 for 5-8 dumplings or one roll, which is common for most takeaways and dumpling restaurants. The food is also made fresh daily. Service is pretty fast, considering prep-time, you only had to wait 8-10 minutes for your order. Overall it was a great dining experience, definitely worth re-visiting.
